Definition

The definition of an electrical contractor is in accordance with the following extract from Rule 6.A.B. (ii) (iii):


Electrical Contractor, i.e. an individual of firm who is (or shall employ as manager) a person possessing technical qualifications not less than those of a qualified electrician, who has acted as a supervisor or foreman on electrical installation work for a competent firm or firms of electrical installation contractors or shall have passed examination such as the Association's Executive Council shall decide, and such person or firm must be in possession of suitable business premises and necessary equipment to the satisfaction of the Association, pay wages and maintain conditions of employment not less than those negotiated by the Association of Electrical Contractors (Ireland).
